What’s “Contemporary Glamour” Photography?

“I’m a contemporary glamour photographer.”  “A what?”

This is how my conversations normally go but it’s totally understandable. Up to maybe 2-3 years ago, glamour photography was plagued with boas, overly edited skin, big hair, or even a double exposure with your favorite pet. Or on the flip side, it could be projected as “boudoir” or exotic photography. So when I tell someone I’m a glamour photographer, that’s what they are reminded of and its all good!

  1. […] My first skirt was more expensive since I wanted to get started right away and was too impatient to wait for it to be delivered. I bought black tulle (about 30 yards) at my local Joann’s and spent about $60 including my small sewing kit and ribbon. But honestly I didn’t think it was enough enough tulle, and for $1.04-1.49 per yard, I think my impatience can take a chill pill. The second time around, I shopped online and bought  54″ x 40 yards of 4 various color tulle for under $40. Thats 160 yards for less than 25 cents per yard including shipping. Can you say #winning?! I used my black tulle skirt on the photo to this post. […]
